Labels that turn blue when they get cold? What are we, 6 years old? When it comes to good, craft beer, what matters is the beer itself.  Luckily for craft brewers everywhere, Richmond, VA native Jordan Childs has created a growler that celebrates that very fact and is designed to keep your beer of choice tasting exactly as the brewer intended. We give you Shine Craft Vessels, a purpose driven company founded to make better beer growlers and barware. “I wanted a reusable growler that had great functional and aesthetic design," says Jordan. "Something reusable that would be a source of pride to carry into a brewery or leave on the table at a dinner party. A vessel that was simple in design and let the real beauty remain with the well-crafted brews inside.” Produced by local Virginia craftsmen in a wide variety of vibrant colors, Shine growlers are created with the same attention to detail and precision that a master brewer puts into his beer. Guaranteed to always keep brews fresh and carbonated (for up to a month!), these bad boys can go everywhere glass can’t and will appeal to beer enthusiasts and design lovers alike.

What I love about the craft beer industry is that you find people who are just so passionate about what they do - I wanted to make a growler that really complemented that passion and celebrated the fact that the most amazing part is actually what goes inside of it.

Process & Materials

Shine only uses top quality, function-driven materials and high end finishes (free of toxins) to assure long term use. Their high grade passivation process means that the beer tastes fresh, pure, and free from any metallic aftertaste.  Each stainless steel growler is handled multiple times by various craftsmen in and around the Richmond area to assure that each piece is constantly scrutinized. Shine uses small batch production to create a product differentiated from the competitors and maintain control and ownership over the supply chain. While they may pay a premium to support these local businesses, the result is something far more meaningful than your typical mass produced barware. (Just for the record; Lou handles powder coating and paint, Tom is the passivation tech and Mo is the printer.)

Shine Vessels have a proceed and product pledge to the National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition (NSAC) with a percentage or every sale going to support local US farmers. They also produce an exclusive vessel for the NSAC in which all profits are donated directly.
